Heh heh, not by choice....
I love glc. But not in a gay way.
What is the standard deviation of onion? Isnt it like 300 to 500 points? Someone somewhere said something like that. Soooo you would have to average them I guess. I do not know.
What zackly did you tweak to make it lower the score?
I know. You turned off the L1 and L2 cache right?
Right?

They run fine so far in my (I can not believe I am saying this) ACPI enabled box.

Ok so maybe it was sisoft that had hysterisis of 300 to 500 points.

Ok, I felt so bad I went and dug up my IBM 45 gig deathstar and loaded sans acpi. Got the latest mobo and vid card drivers from nvid and it lives. For how long is anyones guess.

I would think these new drivers wouldn't really help a GeForce 256, would it?

My gf2ti will not run reliably with anything but the driver that came with the card. If that! Hope yours is not as fickle....

From what I understand, nvid put back some of the image quality that they took out in the previous driver. They decrease image quality to get more speed.
I have noticed an improvement in image quality with this driver.

I saw the direction the comments where going over there(guru3d). I decided to install the driver that came in that box that had the missing bar code. You know the one? And ya know what?
23.11s roxor! I think some of the comments at guru were right on, as they progress away from the gf2/3, there is more and more load on the cpu due to the added features of the gf4. The image quality is poor on the early drivers but they seem to be a good bit speedier. And in the nforce mobo, the 23s are stable, as opposed to the MSI6380.....
