MS FS 2002 VS Santa Cruz

There is a known conflict issue between MS Flight Sim 2002 and the Turtle Beach-Santa Cruz sound card (noted in MS FS 2002 manual). However, even after a year of it's release I cannont find an update or patch from either party to correct the problem (BSOD crashes).

Anyone with this combo have a setting(other than sound off), or know of a patch, to correct this?

The game is much more enjoyable if you can actually HEAR Air Traffic Control!

After researching MS's Knowledge Base, this is the best they can tell me: "Disable Direct Sound Acceleration". However, when I do this I get "scratchy" sound, jittery video and STILL random crashes.

Does anyone have MS FS 2002 AND TB-SC running smoothly? If so, what are your settings.

THX!!!
