GTA3 no text just grey boxes...
Just got my PC up and running last nite.. happiness.
Abit AT7 Athlon2100XP 512 DDRAM Abit Geforce 4400 WindowsXP Home All games worked fine except GTA3, who replaced all text with grey boxes. When I get home tonite I will check if I got the latest DirectX installed Any ideas... |

There is a problem with GTA3 on XP. You can download a patch from the Microsoft website which was designed to fix a windows standby/hibernation problem but also fixes the GTA3 text problem. http://support.microsoft.com/default...;en-us;Q306676

Thanks KTS! I had just the same problem, I was also getting a little annoyed with it! Thankfully I didnt need to wait up too long to get the fix. I was just about to post here to about it. I guess you just beat me to it themarin! GTA3 looks pretty good on the Ti4400 don't it! It does for me anyway!
