Thumbs up What are some good 1st-person shooter games?

I just started a new job at an electronics store here in dallas, tx and my boss tells me all games are half off for employees. I guess I am looking for more games like unreal tournament, that offer teamp[lay without being hooked to a server. I am a big fan of 1st person shooters and have the following games:

Every Quake game
doom1 + 2
Serious Sam 2
World war 2 normandy
project igi 2
hitman everything
Half-life everything
unreal everything
deus ex
vietnam black ops 2

I also get video cards half off too. I have my eyes on the geforce 4 4600ti for $179. Not bad

I've heard good things about the new Soldier of Fortune game.... Also star wars jedi knight 2 is a great one. There has also been a lot of talk around here about Medal Of Honor Allied Assault, although I've never tried that. Return to Castle Wolfenstein is also fun, although I didn't think it quite lived up to the hype.

1/2 off video cards???? Gawd... how does he get that kind of markup on hardware to begin with. I try to get 15% whenever I can, but it's sometimes tough to get 10%. To get 50% off, there must be a 100% markup from cost just to break even.

Business is really good at that store. Some items are so outragiously overpriced that 50% off isn't so bad

Medal of Honor
Ghost Recon
Jedi Knight II-Jedi Outcast (more of a 1st-person lightsaber than a 1st-person shooter)

What the sweet Wolfster of LooOOoove said. No On Lives Forever is fun. I mean no to the first part and yes to the second part, sir! Play the game....
I play tribes and tribes2 mostly. If the new America's Army game is anything like I think it will be, my time spent behind a A1/A2 or M4 will be to advantage. God bless iron sights. Delta Force is fun as well. The M4/203 with a scope is my fav. Very nice combo to have around. Everyone should have one... 'cept for terrs.....

Medal of Honor is very good. It is not as fast paced as UT but very addicting.

You played Serious Sam Second Encounter without playing the First Encounter????

If so, you are missing out! SS:FE has the best ending in all action game history. It is epic. It is huge. And the rest of the game is every bit, if not a little more, fun than SS:SE. Hurry, run, go out and get it now. What are you waiting for? Serious Sam: the Third Encounter?

A GF4 TI 4600 for $179???? Are they hiring?
At 50% off, I'd take a week off my job to work there and CLEAN HOUSE!!!

BTW, Max Payne & Ghost Recon are great!

I'm not sure who you mean, but I played the First Encounter before Playing the Second Encounter

And yeah, Second Encounter ended with "to be concluded", so I'm waiting for the third encounter

my votes go towards undying and avp 1 and 2. thief 1 and 2 are good also, but if you enjoy serious sam you might not appreciate that style of play.

I just got SOF2 about a week ago, it is really really good. It gets quite tactical, not like the forst one in which you could go round blasting everything in the way. Stealth is a major player in this game! Another game that I like is Operation flashpoint, it is more of a war game but it an absolutley brilliant game may not suit all tastes though. Give the demo a go and see what ya think.

Bite your tongue! Thief & Serious Sam are 2 of my favorite games ever. Yes they are very different, but I like variety in my games. And I'm sure many others do too. They both do very well at what they were intended for. Thief excels at stealthplay and immersion, while Serious Sam excels at being conceptually simple, but exceptionally challenging.
