Can't play UT over my network
I am having problems playing UT over my home network. The network works well in that I can share files, print from either computer etc. When I try to play UT in multiplayer mode, I cannot connect to the other computer. I am not very adept at networking so it probably is something silly that I am doing.
Both computers are running xp pro with 3Com nic cards and a Netgear 100mbs hub. Thanks |

Hi crjdriver,
Do you have any firewall software like Zone Alarm installed on any of the systems? |

perhaps UT requires a different protocol to the one you are using

If they see each other and you're using TCP/IP then you should be good to go.
One machine needs to go to 'start new multiplayer game' and make sure that you check off 'advertise server'. Then, simply go to multiplayer on the other machine and click on the 'LAN games' tab. |
