New ATI Chip? Better than GF4?
I heard somewhere that ATI was releasing a new chip which was better than the GF4TI. I didn't find out when it's coming out or what it's called but maybe somebody else has more info?

http://www.xbitlabs.com/news/story.html?id=1024462399 350Mhz core is a lot faster than what we've been seeing. I think it will be better than GF4. If ATI continues to make good drivers, it should outperform the GF4 considering it came out awhile ago (shady drivers kept 8500 behind gf3 for awhile), and Nvidia's next should be better than that, and then ....... They are the 2 big players now and want to out do each other each time out. It makes it hard to decide when to wait and when to bite. GF4 ti4400 and ti4600 might come down from the competition (the popularity of the 4200 won't feel the heat so much b/c it will probably still be best price/performance) R300 (Radeon 9xxx) will also be direct x 9 compliant making it pretty cool. |

And - don't forget the Parhelia - the initial issue is lacking but the concept is great, hopefully Matrox can get this sorted out. More competition, gotta love it.

From what I've read so for, the R300 should easily beat any GeForce4. It'll definately be expensive though.
