Nothing incredibly new, it's pretty much the same type of game as WC2, slightly different mostly in good ways tho.
There's less emphasis on a "zerg". Instead of building huge armies and winning by sheer numbers, you have to use a little skill and strategy. The graphics are very good. Alot of the tedious things you had to do in WC2 are macro'able and hotkey'able now, which is a plus. As with any Blizzard game, the effects and video sequences are incredibly well done .If you're into the multiplayer aspect of RTS games, it's worth it. If you're looking for alot of depth in the single player missions, you may be disappointed (there just aren't alot of them). |

If you want depth in single player games, look no further than Deus Ex, great plot. As usual in Blizzard games, though, the single player in Warcraft III is somewhat corny and... predictable.
I like it a lot more the Starcraft, since I was never good at that anyways. The best part is that it actually requires strategy and intelligence rather than massive armies. Plus lots of nice, small things are taken care of automatically, and auto-casting of spells is great. I'd say it's probably the best RTS game I've played, but really I can only compare it to Starcraft and something like Age of Empire in which it takes WAY too long to destroy buildings.

I love it! I've been playing every night with my counter-strike clan online till 1 or so... The mutlplayer is fantastic. And the single player is a lot of fun too (I'm on the second campaign) Although I may have some bias, as I'm a huge WC fan (*points at nickname*)

not sure about the preorders, but the initial orders were 4.5 mil.
it's the game to last me well till next year (or until the expansion comes, whichever comes first). |

From what I have played of the game thus far, it is a great addition to my collection. It has crashed on me once though, and when I am playing on Battle.net with approx. 4-5 other players my system does seem to strain some. After installing it I as hooked, if you enjoyed the previous WCs' and StarCraft I would definitely give this game a go.

Well, don't et me wrong, I love this game. However, did anyone notice that it stole most of it's new stuff out of a lesser known game called WArlords Battlecry. I mean the new races, the "hero" level thingie, the general look of the game, etc. I'm just wondering when Microsoft will be coming out with it's version :P . Oh well!
