Jedi Knight LAN

I have Jedi Knight II on two computers right next to eachother and have crossover cables to network them together, I can play starcraft fine multiplayer, but when I try and play Jedi Knight to and I create a server and then try to join it doesnt show up. So I cant play Jedi Knight multiplayer, anyone ever have this problem?Or know how to fix?

Can't say much about crossover cables as I am set up with a hub. Are you sure you set the service to LOCAL and not INTERNET or FAVORITE?

BTW I love JK2!! I especially love it when you find a Cheat Enabled server so you can fire up a Darth Maul double ended light saber!! Twice the killing power with each move!

I have seen this problem when I am hosting, and a friend of mine is playing. We both run WinXP, and for some reason, when either he or I are hosting, we sometimes can't see each others games on the join screen. Sometimes it works fine. A fix for this is to find out the IP address of the person that is hosting. If you enter this into the search field on the join screen, it will work. I don't remember where you enter the IP address, but play around with the join screen long enough, you should find it. Sorry.
