Image ghosting/banding on monitor
I have a problem that started after adding a video card to my kids HP Pavilon 6835 with mx50 monitor. I get some horizontal ghosting of certain images, usually from the dark images on light backgrounds. I have installed the latest drivers from nvidia for this card, a Guillemot Cougar Maxigamer TNT2 m64. I also disabled the onboard grahics controller. I have spent several hours looking around for any help and just haven't had any luck. Short of removing the card and going back to the onboard grahics, what else can I try?
Thx. |

Sometimes the only way to get around this (to use a agp card) is to use a motherboard that has no onboard vid. Sometimes.

Check the connector for damage. bent or broken pins. Only thing I could think of.

Didn't mention - it's a PCI card, but will pull it and look at it later tomorrow.
