SimCity 3000 help

I have slowly realized the tech support for this game, eh, sucks. I'm haveing a few problems related to the game play.

First - I found a map maker(makes map into a .bmp), the problem is you have to use a cheat code to load the map. I could just use the built in editor, but I already have the map made and it would take a long time to re-create it with the crude tools maxis provides. Once a cheat is used, I have had no luck building the ever so imporntant connections to the neighbors, suggestions?

Second - I have tried everything I can think of to build a highway tunnel but have had no luck. Suggestions?

TIA, Logan

Cant help you with the map part, but what do you mean you had no luck with building important connections with neighbors?

About the highway tunnel, its hard enough jsut to get a regular tunnel through the side of a mountain/hill I didnt know you could even do that?

Are you using just Sim City 3000 or Sim City 3000 Unlimited?

Oh, another fan of SC3000. I'm using unlimited.

I found out how to get the highway tunnels, it involves water but I fogot to read that you need to use surface water.

When I try to build a connection I drag the road to the edge of the map as usual, and it doesn't offer any connection.

BTW, if you would like to know more of the cool things you can do with SC3K, look at the knowledge section at sc3000.comm lots of helpful info.

Alright, thanks... Yeah I love urban planning.... I cant wait for Sim City 4.... hehe they are dropping the 4(000).... I heard theres going to be a massive amount of detail... also you can upload your families from the sims game into your city and see their comments about it... dont knwo teh full jist of why Maxis is doing that.... But they said with all teh money they have made from the Sims and all fo teh expansion packs that they are trying to kinda revive their flagship Sim City 4. Yeah I go to simcity.com and download some neat buildings some people have taken teh time to construct them in the building editor... I'll take a look at that site..

Personally, SC3000 is plenty good enough for me. I love the BAP, much better than SCURK, I don't see enough lacking to justify another game. But it will have better graphics, I'l definatley hold off on buying until I know it is a final version, not like SC4 than SC4 unlimited.
