game crashes on Bnet

i am having trouble with my pc when i play diablo 2 or warcraft 3. on diablo 2 it plays fine on single player but as soon as i get on battlenet i get a " unhandled exection " and on warcraft 3 it just shuts off randomly. Thing is i can use it on the internet as in searching DLing and such just fine ? I got new drivers for the video card. The bios i was gonna update but when i try to the computer locks up.

yea i did clean start up from a floppy and typed in what the manual said...

Do you the latest patches for both games?
That might help, I know I had problems with Jedi Knights online but once I had the patch I was fine.

yea latest patches for both games . and system temp is 47 cpu and 28 system temp. running windows 98
