What Is MSI Ti4400 8871-040

I am looking to purchase a MSI Gforce Ti4400. I ran across some that had "040" after the 8871. Is this good or bad, new or referb? Is it still save to buy?

Thanks - Henry

Hi haptry,

What store are you looking at? It's most likely just the product code, since as far as I know MSI has only one GF4 4400 model.

This was an "e-bay" seller/item. The seller had several of these for sell, and was a Power Seller type rating

I just checked NewEgg.com and they have the same card listed under "8871-020", so it's fine.

Not that this has anything to do with those particular numbers, but, doesn't the 4400 have a 64mb and a 128mb model? Or is that just the 4200? I know the 4600 is only 128.

btw, I have the MSI GeForce4 ti4600 and it is great!

The MSI 4400 model only comes with 128MB DDR.
