do you think that'd be okay? I got it for free after my friend broke off one of the fan's "fins" so it sounds like a shot airplane or something. So can i turn that thing off or will it fry the GE1?? thanks!

Hi sUsHIboI,
I don't think graphics GPU run hot enough to fry with a heatsink. I would go ahead and try it fan-less, if there are any problems you'll notice "artifacts" (random pixels and colors on the screen) and you'll know it's overheating, at which point you should get a new fan like a Blue Orb. Hope that helps. |
