Xbox and a USB mouse
Hello!
One of my mater has an xbox and the game Championship Manager for it. This is a pretty good game, but it really needs a mouse to be played proper. Is there anyone who has been able to get a mouse to work in one of the USB sockets on the Xbox. I would try myself but he ain't awake at the minute so I just want to check out first. |

Thanks! I had a little trouble with my mouse, I thought the xbox had USB ports. Obviously not!

No, the Xbox doesn't have a USB port, but it appears that it supports the technology. Which is what this mouse is based on. Soon they will probably create a mouse which will simply plug in like any normal controller.

I guess so. My whole hope of the mouse was so that I wouldn't have to buy another one.

Were you planning on just using the same mouse as your computer? Also, have you ever used a usb mouse with a console before? Just curious where you got the whole idea from.

It was so my mate (who has the console) could get a cheap USB optical mouse and use it to play championship manager because it is tricky to play using the controller.
I think it must have been from reading about the HomeStation (I think that's what it was called) I got it mixed up with the xbox because it was meant to have USB ports if it ever went into production and with the xbox being so similar to a PC in its build I thought well maybe! |

Playstation 2 has USB ports, it even has a Firewire port.
I can't seem to get my Microsoft Trackball Explorer or any other USB mouse to work on it. Any suggestions? |

I stopped over at a friend's house today who has PS2. I had my laptop with me which I have a Microsoft Intellieye Explorer (USB) mouse with it. I plugged it in and it powered right up, worked without a problem. You can plug in mouse, keyboard, or modem into that USB port.

Sweet! I wonder If you could use a USB hub in there and then have a mouse and keyboard would be cool for some games if you could!
