Need for Speed!
Hello All;
I have the Need for Speed game on cdrom that came with my older nvidia tnt2 graphs card. Had it running fine when I first got it. Have since rebuilt and reloaded that PC and was just yesterday trying to load that game and It won't connect the the server to activate the game and thus make it playable. I don't even remember doing that the first time but maybe I did, I'm sure the parent company's server it is trying to connect to has changed or something along those lines, anyone know anything??? KK

Yes it probably is the original, came with my vid card well over a year ago! It's looking for a server to activate the game. Net something which has probably changed.

Server to activate? That's strange! I have the NFS4: High Stakes which came with my SB Live! and I never had to activate it.
Back in 2000 PC Gamer gave away the first NFS and you didn't have to activate it either. Which NFS is this of yours?

NFS: Porsche Unleashed doesn't require activation- Is the activation for multiplayer? or registration.
Never heard of activation for a game- maybe something else is wrong- given that you didn't need to activate it the first time you used it. |

Correct, I reall don't remember activating it the first time, or could it be that now I'm putting it in a machine which has other than the vid card it came with??
