freeze when watching dvd?
Whenever I watch a dvd, after about 4 or 5 min the dvd screen freezes and the sound continues. I have to restart the dvd player to get it working again and then start from where I left off. this annoys me as it would anyone and I cant figure out the problem. I have win2k with a geforce2gts/pro and I tried dling some drivers but the ones I got did nothing. Whats wrong?

IS hardware compenstation turned 'on' in your DVD player options? That sometimes helps cure that problem. Let us know if it works or not

If you want to, you can try buying an ATI Radeon 7500 64MB DDR for $65 or so at Newegg. It has an integrated hardware DVD decoder, which will help you gett better quality DVD images, with much less burder on other components.

If he thinks it might be a Win2000 problem, it might be a good idea to post another in the XP/2000 forum (with the focus on "i had this problem soon after installing 2000")
