Alrighty i really have two problems here im gonna try to keep the explanation short.
I just got warcraft III and it played fine on my laptop, however i tried putting on my desktop and it crashed as soon as it opened. On the desktop I have DirectX 8.1 and a SiS 73 AGP 32 mb, the problem was that i couldnt enable AGP texture acceleration in DirectX. if you have any suggestions please advise. Then i replaced the gfx card with a TNT 16 mb AGP i got the driver for it from gateway.com (the card came from a gateway) i looked up the part number 6000710 that had been printed on the back of the card and it was the only available driver. I installed the driver and the card now runs at 32 bit color but wont go any higher then 640 X 480, but it does run warcraft. If you have any suggestions on how to raise the resolution please advise. Thanx, Andrew |

Try getting the detonator driver from nvidia instead of through gateway.

And if you're using Win95/98/Me, here's the Nvidia driver page:
http://www.nvidia.com/view.asp?IO=det_xp_win9x_30.82 You're lucky it's a TNT model: that's the oldest you can have and still be supported in the recent drivers (RIVA 128 card owners tend to be stuck with outdated drivers for their outdated cards). . . . Gary |
