Video Card Driver Issue
Hello,
I was trying to put in a STB Velocity 128 Video card into a computer that is running windows 2000 pro. The old 95/98 drivers won't work. Anyone know where i can get some drivers for it that are compatible with 2000? |

I tried to install the driver, same thing happens. Win 2000 loading screen comes up and then about the time that it would go to the desktop, the screen just goes black and does nothing. The only way i can get to my desktop is to disable the video card and then I only have 256 colors.. Please help.

Win2K has native Velocity 128 drivers in addition to generic Nvidia Riva 128 and Riva 128ZX drivers. You won't have to download anything, just go into device manager, pick the display adapter, properties, driver, update driver, display a list, show all devices.

Nvidia does not offer drivers for the Riva 128 series on their site - what you see in Win2K is what you get. If the motherboard has an AGP slot, have you considered getting a M64 card to replace it? You can find one for 30 bucks and it has 32mb ram. A PCI version can be had in the low 40's.
