Hi all
i have a 600mb .AVI file on my computer, and whenever i burn it to a CD without any compression, the copy on the CD cannot be viewed properly thereafter. It is slow and choppy, unlike the original version. I thought it was software-related to CD-Creator5, so i installed Copy-to-CD 0.5 but with same results. Thanks, -mofo- AMD 1.2 GhZ 512 mb PC133 RAM Radeon 8500 video card |

Maybe your CD-ROM drive is the reason, try to copy back the AVI file to the hard drive.

Ok after copying the file back to my hard drive, it now plays flawless. So this means the file is not corrupted, and i'm having problems reading large video files from a CD (the ones on my HD are all fine). Is this a memory thing? I don't think it's the CD-ROM itself, 'cause i've tried a couple others and the problem persists...

It could be that the CD-ROM drive is not fast enough. Don't forget that the quality of the media and how dirty it is affects read speed. If others play alright, it could be that it is dirty or perhaps this avi file is higher quality, higher bandwidth.

I used Adobe Premiere 6 to make this .AVI file, its off my digital camera (mini DV), could it be the software/encoding method used? My drive is a 40X so it should read fast enough, someone told me i need lots of RAM for huge files, is that true? I have 512mb...
