"The Thing" anyone play yet?
I started playing Friday...it's ok.
Good graphics, but one of those "find" stuff games. I can't get off the first level, too many documents to find, and not the first "monster" to destroy... ![]() I'll save my frags for MoHaa

Looks like it has a lot of atmosphere.
The commercials make it look very choppy though. I wonder if that is the Xbox version or just the way it looks on a tv ad. |

It's pretty good, I'm playing on the PS2 right now. One cool feature is the TRUST. You must get companions to trust you to make it out of levels by giving them things like guns and health.
Some places need two people, so you need these computer players to trust you and help you fight the monsters. Read some reviews, I think it's a good game tony |

I'm about halfway through the pc version now. I must say I am disappointed. I should have waited to read reviews before getting it, I admit. Gamespot's pc review is right on the money. The game is just not ready for pc primetime. And the Trust/Fear feature is pointless and adds little value to the game (the concept sounded cool). It is not frightening as one would expect. It has a few good moments, but all in all, it is not a good pc game. And it is very short. I am after the halfway point, and I've only put a few hours into it. So, it is not a good value.

It's not worth buying IMHO.
It's third person, not first person shooter. Some features, as CurtM said, are worthless. Wait for the $2.99 bargain bin for this one. |
