Got Nascar Heat 'cause I'm tired of waiting for Papayrus to get moving on their sim. My opinion is everything is fine but the damage model is way too weak. Cars need to be smashed pretty bad before they pit and you need a 200 mph head-on crash to make your car limp BUT it STILL DRIVES!!! Hasbro needs to fix that and then it will be a-ok. Graphics and the rest of the physics are great. Cars are awesome.
I'm gonna load and check out Elite Force tonight. |

I reviewed Heat over at Maximum3D, and I totally agree with you on all counts. Have you tried the game with a Force Feedback wheel? A user wrote a patch for it, to fix the weak in-game support, and it totally changes the game.
I'm reviewing Elite Force right now. Great game, but way too short. I think I finished the single player in about 10 hours. Looks great, though. Be sure to look at the video in your quarters, on the table by the couch. |

Just found the patch today for my Guillemot Ferrari. Thanks tho'. Got EF too. Like it so far. Too bad It won't last-too short.
I read your review. Once the patch came out(which really doesn't do much for the damage model) I got it. I'm not disappointed tho'. I think Hasbro will address the problems. [Edited by dondrd on 10-02-2000 at 04:47 PM] |
