Radeon 7000 good/bad?

I've been looking at upgrading to the ATI Radeon 7000 for its TV out and DVD hardware decoding capability. I dont play games so I dont need a superdupa latest card. Is this a good card for watching DVD on the TV? is the quality good?

Thanks

Streams,

I've been using it in a PIII 1GHz system for nearly a year with no problems... Graphics are nice!

We haven't hooked it up to the TV, so I can't say yeah or neah on that but my boys watch DVDs on the computer all the time with no troubles.

Nice card and cheap too!

HTH

Hi Streams,

What are you upgrading from?

If you're not a gamer, that video card will work out fine. ATI video cards provide very good image quality.

Yup... it's a decent card for what you need.

Is there a big difference between the DDR and SDRAM versions?

DDR memory will run faster than sdram. So I would imagine it would perform a little better in games with DDR memory instead of sdram. HTH
