9700 problems
hi
playing neverwinter. pointer icon flashes all the time. really irritating. never did it with the g4. anybody else having any problems? wolfie asus a7n266-e xp1900 windows xp audigy 512ddr antec plus860 asus cdr ATI 9700 |

The only problem I have is that I've been unable to buy NWN.
 Have you checked BI's web site to see if there is a problem with the game and this card? Since the 9700 is pretty new it can be an issue with it. Just a guess.

There have been small issues noted that people have been posting about on a Radeon forum(not sure if it would be proper to post a link to another forum?). But my 9700 is running fine, but I only have good ol' UT to play it with(which is not bad at all). I received the OEM Saphire from newegg and basically been running all day.
Also, have you tried the newer drivers? A couple people tried them and their preformance decrease a little.

hey what kind of performance are you getting with UT? All graphic options maxed? Turn off vsync and play a game with 32 bots in a large level and tell us your average fps.

In UT with 1600x1200 everything maxed
75fps- quality set to max 85fps- performance set to max This is with 16 bots in Agony. |
