Fast Writes

In my bios it says fast writes is enabled for my AGP card. Sandra says it is not. What gives? TIA

Oh sorry, it's in my sig. The Radeon 8500 supports it I thought.

Well I've never used Sandra (when I wanted to install it I noticed it had spyware so I sent it to the binary limbo fast) but I think that 3DMark has a System Info button which displays several features of a VC. Have you tried and see if the FastWrite option is listed there?

3D mark says it's disabled too. I'll try and find out if my card supports it and then perhaps flash my bios. *sigh*

Still no go. I now have a problem of setting my mem to Top Performance. I might end up going back. I guess i shouldn't be assuming my 8500 supports it either. Anyone's ideas still welcomed. Thanks.

is this 3d mark a free download i noticed everyone comparing there vidoe cards with it.would like to see what my cheap video card does.
