Angry Fire radeon 7000 3d grahphic

I bought this card and can not get it to work. I have an hp pavilion 7840 computer. I have followed all of hp's instructions and even down loaded an updated bios. All I can get is the blue hp screen when I turn the machine back on with the new card in. The only thing I can not seem to do is unload the driver for the built in graphic card. I have put it in my norton utilites and tried to unload it with that but I still get the blue screen. I am supposed to be able to remove it with the add/remove program, but the i810 chip does not show up. Does anyone know how to help or what I am doing wrong???? Or am I not able to use this card on an hp machine?

Did you turn off the onboard graphics in the BIOS setup? If you did, it should search for a different video card to use. As for the compatibility, I know alot of people seem to have trouble with Compaq's when it comes to compatibility but I'm not real sure about hp's.

There may be a jumper on the motherboard to disable onboard video.

I did find out how to shut it off in bios, but it did not do any good, I even deleted the driver from the registry
