I'm assuming you are playing it with the new ports like jDoom, TwoRails, ain't you?

Don't hold your breath. As John Carmack has always said about every id game "It'll be ready, when it's ready."

TwoRails

jDoom is the easiest and best way to run the original Doom, Doom 11, and Ultimate Doom. It will enhance the games considerably and will play under Windows (well certainly, Win 9x) with no problems.

Try jDoom - it's great and it will get you in training for the "second coming".

I've heard 80 mb needed for textures... this can use system RAM, but I'm glad I have a 128mb graphics card

Hi Nuclear Krusader,

I finally got it to work!! Thanks!! I had the original version, so I downloaded and installed the newest (1.7, I think) and it worked fine. I've had only about 10 minutes time in to due to my freakin' busy schedule, but I'm looking forward to playing it somemore !

The release dates still up in the air but it will be released next year. I'm saving for a new video card just for Doom!

Hehe, so do I. So do I.

@Two Rails: glad to know it worked. Enjoy!!

BTW, if you have Heretic, there's also a jHeretic port.
