Missing video RAM?
I built my machine last Spring. Here's the list of components:
AMD XP1800+ 512 DDR ram Shuttle Mobo (Via KT266A) Gainward Geforce 3 TI200 128mg ram Now, I recently tried to run the Asheron's Call 2 demo which has requirements of 32 mg video ram. I shouldn't have to worry about that. Strangely, I get an error at startup which tells me I don't have video memory. Then, I tried the UT2003 demo. It gave me a similar error. Has anyone here experienced this before? I've tried flashing the video card bios and updating the drivers but that didn't change anything. My system info shows the 128ram but the games don't see it. It hasn't given me any trouble with other games, but what's the point of having a fast rig if you can't play the new games? Any help is appreciated. |

Those demos are betas and aren't guarenteed to run like the final product. For instance when I try to run ut2003 demo it crashes before I can see anything.

This is a common error with GTAIII full game, to fix it a patch is needed.
As suggested by darkmessenger03, it could just be they are dodgy betas (thank god you didn't pay for them) Jim |
