Is this a warning....
I finally picked Earth & Beyond for my new on-line game and I was planning to buy it early next week. In preparation I downloaded and installed their Starship & Character Creation demo.
That went well but nothing else has. I get screen freezes randomly when ever I try to use it. My specs are in my signature and I shouldn't be having trouble. Has anyone else bought this game or tried the demo? Are you having problems with it? I'd like to think this doesn't mean anything but I'm wondering if I won't be StarWars Galaxies after all.

I tried the Beta Test of this game and didn't get the occurrences you are talking about. I'm running a similar speed system with a GeForce 2 MX video card, but I'm using DDR memory.
You could very well be choking a bit with the memory bandwidth. Try easing back on the video settings and see if that helps your game speed. |

I play E&B currently, and I'd like to say good choice picking it. About the Starship Creator, I have heard of bugged versions causing problems, and freezing. A lot of people on E&B forums weren't able to use it. I wouldn't worry about the game not working; you should be fine.

I'm glad to hear that because easing back on the video settings wasn't working.
I thought it was odd because otherwise I'm having no trouble. Thanks for the reply. |
