To elaborate, you would need a seperate card for three monitors. Your card doesnt support triple display, only dual. The only card I know of that does allow for 3 displays is the Matrox Parhelia. If you want to have that surround experience, you can pick up a cheap PCI card, like a Radeon 7000, and hook the third monitor to that.

but i would not get the same graphics support from, say, a radeon 7000, as i do w/ my ti46...so wouldnt then one of the monitors would be set to different graphics settings and resolution. that would defeat the purpose of having a triple monitor setup if one of the monitors is lagging and looks worse then the others. any replies?

The only card (so far) that can do surround gaming as you describe is the Parhelia.

Ive read about many systems that use a powerful AGP card like a Geforce 4 and a less powerful additional card for multi monitor support. Since, theres no way to get a card as powerful as that 4600, you have no choice but to get a lower end card. I would think the performance would be fine because so many people use this setup, and Ive never read about slowdowns.
Fastfly, Since v1r4L fr3nzy only has one AGP slot, he could not buy a GF4 Ti 4200. The best you could do v1r4L fr3nzy is a Radeon 7000 PCI, or a GF4 MX420 PCI. A friend of mine uses a Radeon 7000 for his promary display, and he doesent have any problems with modern games like UT2003, BF1942, and Jedi Outcast. |

There is a geforce 4 pci video card, but it's a mx version; I can't remeber the brand, though. Wal-mart had it the other day. I was contemplating purchasing it.

MX pales in comparison to Ti, but it's your only option in PCI.
