Hi. I got "Need for Speed High Stakes" with my SB Live X Gamer sound card and I have one little problem with it. The 3d Setup choose Software renderer by defualt. Whenever I choose D3D Device one (something like that) it says that my 3D card is not supported by the game and the game or my computer might act strangeley if I use the device.
My computer specs are: Win ME Xentor TNT2 16MB AGP 2X (Detonator 3 drivers) BTW. I already tried older drivers but it did not work ![]() 128MB ram Direct X 7.1. (Already in Win ME) TAI

I got that game with mine and I'm using Det 3 drivers also... I'm using the Elsa Gladiac and everything works fine... I don't know what to tell you. The game makers only recommend a limited number of video cards and the ideal card for this particular game is a voodoo card. May just be out of luck.

I had that problem too about a year ago. On the nfs site it tells you to make a shortcut on desktop to the game then at the end add a -d3d0 switch, look at the site for the exact switch/syntax. After that, it worked for me....
