Snapping a screenshot from a dvd
Hi all,
I was wondering if someone could tell me how to snap a screenshot from a dvd or a video that is playing on widows media player. When I hit my print screen key then go to paste the screen shot into ms paint it is black where the video was playing. Are there any third party progs that can snap screen shots

I have a intel web camera with the program that came with it I can hook my Video camera up to the port on the camera and hit snapshot and it will work.
but DVD's are coded so to get a picture you may need some kind of decoder. I can't even run my DVD player through my VCR or it will be all scrambled I have to hook the DVD player directly to the TV |

WinDVD and PowerDVD have capture functions.
Just hit the capture button and it captures the frame.

I did not think "they" allowed you to take shots from a DVD playback. Part of Hollywood's paranoia. Maybe wrong, but a reasonable guess.
