Making a CS server

(I’m assuming this is where I should post)

I don’t know which OS to run on it. I have Linux Redhat but I’m not very failure with it… I also have XP Pro and I can get 2000 easily if I need to.

Do any of you have input at all? I like the Linux servers a lot they are smoother but I don’t know if I am experienced enough with Linux to set it up.

I’d appreciate any help you have.

Hey! I know this is an old post but just incase I'll reply anyway. If you are building a dedicated CS server used strictly as a server go w/Linux. I personally have no experiance w/linux but I know it is the most stable OS to use on a server. If you ever look at websites that rent out game servers you'll notice that they stress the fact that they are running Linux. I hope this helped since it's been awhile since you posted it

Linux would be a good OS to run a dedicated server. It's hard to figure out at first but once you get the hang of it....
