Need For Speed Hot Pursuit, or NASCAR Thunder 2003? Pc platform only, or do you have another favorite?

My personal favorite is Motorcross Madness 2. I know it's not a car game but it's still driving.
Also, tell me something. I have played driving games on some high end PC's and then I played some on game counsels. When it comes to driving I find game counsels to be better. Don't get me wrong; I'm not talking about the controlers or the view but more how the device playing the game (PC or the console) responds. With game consols I find I have more control and it's more realistic. What do you think? |

Nascar Heat is by far the most racable online game IMO. Nascar Thunder has great graphics but the online thru Gamespy has bad lag. This is just not me talking but the general consensus of the online racing community. Nascar heat has alot of free add on mods like Craftmen Truck Series which are all free downloads. If you would like more info about online racing send me an email Ill give ya some good websites that support the online racing community. This is my hobby and I've tried about every racing game produced. If you decide to go with Nascar Heat, go to http://www.internetracefinder.com for a free download of a program to find online races. It has a chat feature so if you see my name listed "Horsepwr". give me a shout and ill help you get going

How old is NASCAR Heat? The idea of downloadable add-ons is cool. Is it any better than NASCAR 1999? Ive got '99 and talk about lame. You have different tracks but the game play is boring. A couple people have mentioned Colin McCrey Rally. What is it like? Ive also got a drag racing game that is so-so. Im looking for something that will blow you away.

The reviews I've read say the NFS:HP2 is different than the game for Playstation 2 and isn't as much same fun.

Racing is about competition until you've raced door to door with ya buddies(from all over the world) you aint racing. Im sure the console ganes are pretty but aint nothing like racing real people.

I've played most of the NASCAR race games, but I prefer "Dirt Track Racing" because there's nothing like doing it in the dirt!
