Graphics problem with project IGI

I'm at wits end trying to fix this. When I run a game called Project IGI, the life indicator and the gun sight is gone. This happens after putting in a GeForce 2 MX400 64MB DDR Ram card.
Driver is latest (30.82 for Win 98) and Direct X is 8.1

Before this, my card was a GeForce 256 32MB Ram. Direct X was the same (8.1)

What gives ? Thanks

The GF256 is a better card than the MX. The MX is a crippled version and therefore some capabilities are missing.

I'm not totally sure that is what's causing the problem but you can put the old GF256 and see if the issue is addressed.

Thanks N_K. Yes, seems like the MX is crappy. What a shame, a friend pass it to me after knowing I'm hunting around for some upgrades. Guess I'll take glc advice and get an ATI Radeon 7000 instead.

Make it a Radeon 7500 at least. The 7000 is also kinda lousy for games.
