The Radeon 9700 Pro?
Probably a dumb question, but can it be used in the regular 4x AGP slot?

Yes
Not many boards have an 8x AGP slot. My Asus P4PE has an AGP 4x and my 9700 works GREAT! |

Damn! The only reason I got the Gainward G4 Ti 4600 instead of the 9700 was because I thought it wouldn't work in my Intel D850EMV2/AGP 4X mobo. Damn, damn, damn!

Hmmmmmm, perhaps you are right!
I can play JKII at 1600x1200 with anisotropic filtering on, and everything turned all the way up, and still get great FPS. I'm going to build a system in a few months, after nVidia's new chip is out, and then I'll consider it or the 9700.
