Video Cards
I have built my own systems for gaming and know the value of a good video card for my 3D games.
Today my wife asked me to build her a system for her work at an ad agency doing graphic design. I am not sure how much this work will tax a video card or what kind I should aim for. I dont want to spend money on more than she needs. Any help on this one would be appreciated. |

Hi Azgir,
For graphics design, a Matrox or ATI card would be best. A good cheap card would be the ATI Radeon 7000. |

Hi Azgir,
For a computer doing mostly business type graphics work, a Matrox video card will work out very nicely. Great 2D graphics. The G450 and G550 are available for under $100 from Newegg.com. Cricket

So business graphics puts stress on system memory but not on the video card?
The Matrox and the ATI that are listed-- are they good cards for this or simply inexpensive cards since I dont need much? |

If your wife needs a good video card to handle business type graphics, Matrox would be an excellent choice. Cricket
