Make Quake look like Doom 3!

Well not quite. It's the latest Tenebrae Mod which

"updates the modification of the publicly-available Quake source that adds stencil shadows and per pixel lights to Quake. The new version runs faster, adds Radeon support, reflections, glare, Md3 support, and more. There is an update to the new version since it was first released that uses the latest version of the code that adds Radeon support."

Get the download and have a look at these boootifil screenshots.
Truly amazing.

Come on old-timers - it's time to wear that funny helmit again, lock and load, and kick some classic butt.

That's amazing, thanks for the link Mike. Check out these new models for Q1 too (linked on the Tenebrae site)...

I never bought Quake, but if the mod is a free download I could still grab a copy for 20 bucks. I was taken away by the screenshots.

some of the shots look good, some look amazing, but they are all better than the original.

Well I can tell you that you'll definitely need a Geoforce 3 or 4 for this baby. My old G2 MX 64MB will not cut it.

Looks good in slow motion tho

It's like Max Payne bullet time, all the time.

However, it does give a foretaste of what the lighting and shadows will be like in Doom 3. Very, very, spooky.

If you have a problem with the game stuttering during sound effects, go to the config.cfg file in the Tenebrae folder and edit

_snd_mixahead "0.1" to _snd_mixahead "0.2"

That solved it for me.

Now, back to bullet time....
