Question

I have both of these cards in separate computers. With that choice, which one would YOU be using in a gaming computer?
I'm having trouble with the Erazor dropping me back to my desktop if I push it too hard, even with updated driver.

You can read this review from Firing Squad. There really is no comparison between a GeForce 256 powered card and any Voodoo3 powered one. I strongly recommend using the ErazorX,its specs are higher than the Voodoo3's and it supports more features. The only exception to this is the Voodoo's exclusive support for Glide which is not nearly as important as it was years ago when the Voodoo2 was king. Hope this helps you out.

thats what everyone is saying but my GeForce 2 GTS seems to run slower than my Voodoo 3500
Sounds very messed up but thats how it is on everything but QUake 3 engine based games.

Yep, you need to heed padawan's advice in your thread. You've got something messed up, drivers, bios settings, directx.... something's not right. The GeForce 2 GTS overpowers even the V5, not to mention the V4 and V3 cards... It's like comparing a Volkswagen Bug to a Lamborghini. Night and day difference if there isn't somthing intervening with your card's performance.

Talking hmmm

hi all,
with all due respect to you geforce loyals....i have 3 systems;p3v4x-750mhz,abit kt7-700mhz duron, asus mobo in a hp machine with a 733mhz...i have two voodoo 3 3000's and a geforce 32mb ddr (asus). two things-1,what kind of games you going to play? i play alot of ea sports games and the voodoo 3's look and run better than the geforce...period.no contest.in other games it's not as clear but the voodoo's aren't that bad ythat i even notice too much...granted, i run in 16bit color (i can't notice a difference between 16-32...) @ 800x600 or 1240x680.i would not waste money on a voodoo 4 however as they may be actually slower than a v3.for a budget, you can't beat the v3 @ $99.and it will play all the games out for the upcoming year...
