Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2 (PC)
I just installed Radeon 7000 64MB video card. Everything went well. The game worked but in the main menu I can't click on a section becuase It goes back to the desktop. All that is highlighted is the career mode and I can press that and enter to play the game. I can't access the other things!!
Anybody know how I can acess the other options in the main menu without it exiting and going to desktop? Do I have to stop my applications in the background? I did try it but maybe everything? Someone help please and thanks!!!! |

But I think it's the radeon software. I might have to change some settings or something. Can that be the problem?

Did you reinstall DirectX 8.1 after you installed the Radeon drivers?

I already had DirectX 8.1 installed.
I clicked on the game icon. Once the intro is done it loads to the main menu. It shows up with the "career" option highlighted. At the bottom it says select using right/left keys on keyboard. I press on one and the game ends and goes to the desktop. I also tried with the mouse and no luck. What the funny thing s when it ends, you see a 800x600 res then it goes to the normal res. Since it has 2 monitors installed, I don't think that is normal though. |

As Fuze said, try reinstalling the game.
Also, what applications do you have running in the background? |

Yes, disable any anti-virus or firewall software if you haven't already.

Try visiting the game manufacturers website. They might have a patch to install that will fix the problem. If not check their FAQs or email their tech support. You could also look for a gaming forum to see if others have the same problem you do and how they fixed it.

You may have already had DirectX 8.1 installed, but you should always reinstall it after updating video drivers.
