Nvidia control panel problem

Abit Siluro GF4 Ti4600 128MB DDR
Windows 2000
Abit KG7 RAID (Via chipset)
AMD XP1600

If you fancy a laugh then please read on. I have done something stupid, against my better judgement and laughable. I Installed LOTR (the game) and found the graphics garbled, the game engine ran ok though. A "friend" suggested I try the new 41.03 Nvidia drivers, so I did and the game runs fine, but, I cannot get TV out to work now and a few of the options on the new style (hanging over the left) menu are unavailable, including the second device settings for clone mode, and the display sliders for gamma etc. I have tried reinstalling previous version of the drivers, only to find the new menu system the same and broken. I have tried uninstalling the drviers, restarting, deleting the Nvidia folder at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Controls Folder\Display\shellex\PropertySheetHandlers, restarting then installing the Abit drivers, and find that the new style menu has gone, but the buttons such as "Device Settings" and the sliders still don't work. Is there something I can delete in the registry or otherwise that will stop this extension being loaded?

Any suggestions kindly appreciated, I am currently having to watch DVDs on my 15 inch monitor and my eyes are hurting!
