Anyone try the Catalyst 2.4 drivers yet?
Just got my All-in-Wonder Radeon 8500DV last night and figured I would install the latest drivers right off the bat. Well... dunno what the issue was, but the 2.4's and my system did not get along at all. You could visibly see the screen redraw, couldn't run 3DMark2001, couldn't change refresh rates without the screen going blank, couldn't change resolutions or colour depth without the screen going blank... put in the 2.3's and it works fine.

I have a 8500 and i am using the new drivers no problems. i have played all my games and nothing wrong at all. i have a celeron 1ghz pc. i have no idea what the problem could be. i hope this helps. i had the drivers installed for a couple of days now.

Might just be my combo of hardware, who knows, but it acts like a 1Mb card with them and completely fine with the 2.3's. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced similar.

Good here too. At least in UT2003. I work alot, if i have problems somewhere else, I wouldn't have had time to check it out yet. Seems i only got time for one game at the moment. People have gotten a couple extra 3d marks, some less, I think these drivers mainly focus on a few fixes. The pdf mentioned them, NHL etc. Owners of 9700's prob get more out of it than us 8500ers.
