Restarts?

Hi, today I downloaded James Bond : Nightfire demo from the EA site. For some reason it doesn't work. It actually restarts my computer after getting through the opening scenes. I have downloaded the latest drivers for sound, video and Direct X 8.1. I am running a 1.6 Northwood system with a 30 gig WD 7200 rpm. A Radeon 7000 64 DDR video card with SB Live 5.1 completes the system as far as I know, oh yeah I have 128 RDRAM and Win 2k Pro.

What brand is your power supply & how much watts does it produce?

What are your CPU and System Temps?

Installed your Chipset drivers?

Does your computer reboot when you play any other games? 3D Games?

Could be Faulty RAM..Try another stick of RAM to see if the problem still occurs?

BIOS up to date? Sometimes flashing your BIOS to the latest revision can make your system run more stable.

Do these reboots only occur in the game? How about when your in the Windows environment?

Try disabling System Cache in your BIOS? Read some sites on Random Reboots and a user said Disabling System Cache fixed his problem.

Antec, 400 watts.

I have no idea about either because I never could get the temps to work for some reason.

No I haven't done anything to my BIOS, Chipset or anything else. I could try though.

Its never occured before.

Any recent Hardware Change? Software change?

Go into your BIOS, and the temperatures should be under PC HEALTH or something like that. If you are able to access your BIOS for the temps..please report back with your temps..

Is this an FPS? Is this the only 3D game that crashes your PC?

Can you run 3DMark? I've found that proggie is good at detecting faulty ram.

Perhaps there is a problem with the game itself. Just a guess.
