Do you have a link to those wolfie? I can't seem to find them. Search only gives me the 440MXs and the 4200s.

that doesnt seem to work. just go to newegg.com and look up video cards, then on the left hand side do a search for 8x cards.

Hmmm, I just thought of something, I hope the name doesn't scare people away from the nVidia card, GeForceFX sounds a lot like GeForceMX...........

When I do the search for 8x AGP, I get the Geforce4 440s , the Xabres, the Geforce4 Ti 4200s and the Radeon 9700.

What brand is the card that you found wolfie?

I did that and got the 4200s, the Xabres and the Radeon 9700s. Are you sure you saw a Geforce4 Ti4600 and not a 4200? I can't find one on Newegg anywhere.

Actually, the technology that made this card possible comes from a marriage of nvidia tech and 3dfx tech. In honor of all the brain power from both companies that went into this card, they decided to name is a combination of the two companies: the geforce line of cards and fx comes from 3dfx--geforce fx

I watched the entire 1.5hour launch from their website.

NV18 & NV28:
NVIDIA Chips with AGP-8x Flavor
AGP 8x is the new favorite feature among graphics card and motherboard manufacturers. Following ATI, NVIDIA has now also invested in an AGP 8x interface for the GeForce4 MX440 and Ti4200 chips, and this takes the form of the NV18 and NV28. A first test gives you an idea of whether or not AGP 8x is really worth it for PC gamers.

Yeah, I watched the launch video also. If you've got money in your pocket, watching that video is a good way to make your hand slowly reach toward the pocket.

Thanks for the confirmation TimPoet. I thought that the 8x was only on the Ti 4200s, thats why I was thrown when wolfie said he found them.

I need to watch that launch video, I didnt have time the other day. I was watching the other, shorter videos. That FX looks amazing. I hope its not too expensive (under 500)

Thats OK wolfie, I forgive you. We all make mistakes...lol.

Well after reading that article I'm about to just get the Gainward GF4 Ti4200 Golden sample and say to hell w/the 8X AGP. Heck by going w/the 4200 I'll save some bucks. BTW, does anyone know where I can get that 3Dmark program and see what my machine scores. lol..I know it'll be low but I'm just curious to see what kind of gains I'll be getting.
