I hope it really lives up to the hype when it comes out. I'm saving for one of those though.

Three words: I am ready.

I can't believe how amazing this card is going to be. I might have to forego Christmas presents just to get this card in February. I'll be the envy of all my friends

Very true.......everyone jumped on the ATI bandwagon right after the 9700 debuted, and now they're jumping off it.

Of course, the Matrox Parhelia looked great, too, until we actually got run them. I'm waiting to see the card in the hands of some review sites before I get too excited.

Visual quality is one thing, but the card came out way after the GeForce4 Ti's, and still sucked the big one when it came to performance.

OK, is this the "GeForce 5" ?? or is this a totally separate spinoff from 3dfx??

Either way, it looks like the one I've been waiting for

Well, I just watched the hour and a half long promotional thing and I mean they didn't do any comparisons to the 9700 or anything. I recall watching the 9700 product launch and they did side by side comparisons of it. I mean , iknow the card will be great, I was just wondering if it'll be that much greater. However, with the 128 bit color :: droolz:: ... do i need to finish that sentence? haha

It's reall hard to tell about that stuff... I just got the latest TDK newsletter and they said they were "developing" a DVD burner. Later that day I went to Best Buy locally, and they had TDK's new DVD burner in stock!!

Hmmm, I'd say the FX will be more than 400 as Alienware said. It just seems to have that aura about it that people will pay buckets of money for.

I'm looking into selling bodyparts on ebay. I have to have this card. I don't care if i have to beg my mom for it. (JK i'm 30 years old.) Anyway, it may be better to wait for the second incarnation of the card, because bleeding edge stuff invariably is buggy, while second generation stuff usually has all the bugs worked out. However, I have no plan to do that. I'm jumping on the bandwagon. Woohoo.
