GeForce or Radeon
Which video card should i buy, im thinking of getting either the Radeon 9000pro 128 mb or the Geforce 4 Ti4200 128mb. Can you also list the pros and cons of each. thnx

The Radeon 9000 pro and the Geforce4 MX are about equal to each other performance-wise. If you want to spend a little bit more, then buying a higher performing Ti4200 or Radeon 8500 makes much more sense, and I would recommend that
Pros: Sub-$100 price Decent performace Cons: Slow compared to other cards that cost a bit more Will not be that fast in next-gen games Edit: Pro's and cons of R9000. Yes, I would recommend the Ti4200. Last edited by ryanatalie; 11-26-2002 at 08:12 AM. |

Nvidia for best game performance, ATI for best 2D display. The 8500 is a better gamer than the 9000 but it's still not up to GF4 Ti standards.
