Radeon vs. Nvidia Chipset
I was kind of going between two options for my video. I am not a huge gamer, and am kid of looking for just an all around video card, what would be better a radeon 7000 or a nvidia2 chipset motherboard

It depends on your budget and your gaming needs. Not all Nforce2 motherboards have the graphics controller enabled. The Asus A7N8X does not, the Epox 8RDA+ does not, but the Epox 8RGA+ does. Note that the onboard graphics is GeForce 4MX (which is more than competitive with a 7000) but I believe it uses shared memory.
The Radeon 7000 is a quality 2D card with excellent display quality, but it is not a strong gamer by any means. I would wait before trying to put an ATI card into an Nforce2 because there were issues with non-Nvidia cards in the original Nforce. |
