I see you're an ATi fan. I'd wait for the new nVidia card.

NVidia makes some great cards but ATI suits my work/play requirements.

Deferred gratification is an overrated concept.
Think how happy I'll be Xmas morning with a card that I know plays all the games I'll receive.

It's ATI's midrange card... better than the 9000 and slower than the 9700. It's their mid-level card.

The 9500pro (note, not the 9500) is the ATI mid-range card that will deliver great gameplay, and great everything else, for those of us who can't break the budget for a 9700pro.
It can perform at the level of the Ti4600.
And it will, shortly, be mine!

Let us know, I doubt it will perform as well as a Ti 4600, being an ATI and all.........

Seems to outperform the 4600 in AA and aniso...DX9 compatible to boot!

Should this lower the price on GeForce 4 Ti 4600 cards? I prefer to stay with GeForce, but if the 9500 is more bang for my buck I might have to switch.

Thanks

GeForce is now down to $250 and will go lower .
MWave wants $204 for the 9500pro and expects them to be in stock by Dec.5. That price should drop by Monday of the next week.

As I have said before, I stick with ATI because they buid the whole thing and do real high quality. On the other hand NVIDIA just sells chips and the card quality varies widely.

ATI Radeon is soooo awesome. I haven't experienced the Nvidia cards but the Radeon does what it's supposed to and does it to it's fullest!

Let's not turn this into an ATI vs. Nvidia argument, please.

Hehe, I may become an ATi convert. I plan to wait for the GF FX and see if it lives up to the expectations. If it doesn't, I'll grab a 9500 so I can buy Morrowind.
