Doom 3 storyline
OK, OK, I've drooled at the screenshots from this game; but, does anyone knows if its storyline will be good?
I've heard that D3 story will be pretty straightforward, that it will be like the original Doom, mostly running thru the levels killing baddies and fetching keys to finally end pulling a switch to end the level. Is this true? If it is indeed true then the game won't be as good as id wants us to believe and I can stop drooling btw.

PCGamer did a huge spread on DoomIII in the December Issue. Yes, the story line is very similar to the original Doom.
Basically, you are a marine security guard at the Union Aerospace Corporations research facility on the Mars moon, Phobos. You get called away on marine duty but when you return all hell has broken loose. The scientists are all zombies and as the one of the few humans left, apparently the only one with a gun, it is your job to stop the invasion. You journey throughout Mars and eventually into Hell itself on a mission to stop invasion. HTH

haha, sounds just like every other horror-based fps (doom, quake, resident evil)

The best horror FPS is Clive Barker's Undying. Period.
If D3 tops it then I will definitely give it a 5 stars rating. |
