A good online multiplayer racing game?

I want to know of a good online multiplayer racing game which has allot of people playing it online.
These FPS are getting old and constantly tiring.

Nascar 2002 by Papyrus is VERY popular.Plenty of online servers and tons of racers ready to go door to door
They are releasing the final racing title of the series in February.Should be a good one.

If you have Half-Life, here's a racing mod for it. The downside is that it's still not released yet, however, it could still be a game to wait for.

NASCAR 2002 season is about as realistic as it can get. You can spend hours setting up your car (just like the pros do). Everything is adjustable. And it's not a real bandwidth hog for online play as long as you're not trying to host a huge race. It only requires 22k per driver.

check this though
I have a Radeon 9700 Pro.
The game is soooo slow loading and also when I do get to start playing it's going really slow, like frame-by-frame or some crazy stuff like that. I've tried both Direct3D and OpenGL which beside OpenGL in paratheses I see OpenGL(Unsupported).
I mean, How am I suppose to play the game?
I've tried my video options at their lowest settings, so low all you might see are grey blocks representing the cars.
How can I fix this?
