which is better?
viper v550 true 128 bit card or my current nvidia tnt2 vanta 16mb.

Well - the V550 is an original TNT, the Vanta is a crippled TNT2 - I don't see much difference between them. From a pure quality standpoint I would take the Viper because it was built by Diamond and who knows who the heck built the Vanta.

I agree with George, there's really not alot of difference between the two. The Diamond card is a more reputable card, but you could always sell them and get a GeForce or Radeon for little more than $50 for one of the value cards (GeForce MX series or Radeon 7000). Either of these would blow a TNT series card out of the water.
